The Book Club of the Apocalypse.

I have to admit… I’ve listened to all of the volumes of the Murderbot Chronicles. They are SO GOOD. And it’s been long enough since the first one that I’m ready to revisit it… This time in text. These books are about Murderbot, a cyborg (although he’s never called that in the books), or rather a construct, who has hacked his governor module and is living in cognito as a sec(unity) unit, protecting human space explorers and trying to figure out his own agency… I can’t really say more than that, but the books are fantastic. They’re short, punchy, exciting and HILARIOUS. I love the perspective of human limitations and foibles that comes from Murderbot’s outside, but intimate view. I chose this one because I’m excited to reread it and want y’all to get on the Murderbot bandwagon! It’s a wild, interstellar ride!

PS… if you love audiobooks like I do, definitely give this one a listen. Kevin R. Free is a brilliant reader for this series…
